PULASKI COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE 2008 PROGRESSIVE PLAN
The 2008 Progressive Plan emphasizes three major areas. A member-comprised Focus Group has been established in each of these areas, and each group is working towards the accomplishment of related initiatives.
Media and marketing packages were developed to provide more affordable advertising including outdoor, radio, special publications, and newspapers.
The 2008 EXPO, “A Celebration of Small Business,” was held during Small Business Appreciation Week to show our commitment to this segment of our business community.
Business seminars, covering a variety of timely business topics, from legal to promotional subjects, are being offered throughout the year.
Our “Road Map to Start a Business” is a work in progress. It should be of great benefit to potential and existing small businesses.
Strategic Tourism Plan: We co-operated with stakeholders from various groups within the County in the development of this plan. The Plan has been/is being considered for adoption by the County, Town of Dublin, and Town of Pulaski governing bodies. Once adopted, it is hoped that the Chamber and all these entities will more effectively co-ordinate our efforts and make tourism a more profitable industry.
A “Discover Your Passion in Pulaski County” campaign is under development to increase local awareness and to promote our many natural resources and attractions.
