PULASKI COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
2009 PROGRESSIVE PLAN

The 2009 Progressive Plan emphasized three major areas (Small Business, Tourism, and Economic & Community Development).  Formulated from member-comprised Focus Groups, all the initiatives have been completed or addressed to work towards the the overall success of the progressive plan.

"The Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce focus groups allowed member to discover areas of major common concern to both larger employers and small businesses.  Some of the areas have already begun to be addressed include:  Availability of qualified workers, Availability of workers who can pass an inital drug screening and continue to pass spot check for drugs, and Marketing to local, regional, and global markets.  I appreciate the willingness and efforts of the Chamber staff, leadership, and members to participate in the focus groups and follow-on meetings.  The Chamber is pro-active on improving business in Pulaski and the New River Valley."  ~ David Shanks, New River Valley SBDC
