The Employee of the Month for January 2012 is Raquel M. Poe.  She has been with the Town since 2007 as an Account Clerk in the Finance Department.

                Raquel is being recognized for her commitment to serving the citizens of the Town by providing excellent customer service.  As a front line person who has contact with our citizens every day, she handles each transaction professionally and in a friendly manner.  She performs her job duties in a manner where the citizens are treated with respect and appreciation.  Raquel is also responsible for maintaining certain financial records which are used to assist the Finance Director prepare the annual budget and with our annual audit.

                Raquel’s willingness to help her fellow employees makes her a highly valued member of the Town staff.  Whenever deadlines approach or the workload becomes heavy, Raquel can always be counted on to lend a hand and make the most difficult task look easy.

                In addition to the honor of receiving the Employee of the Month award, Ms. Poe will receive an additional paid day off from the Town and be eligible for the Employee of the Year Award at the end of the year.
