The Employee of the Month for June 2012 is Sergeant Jill Neice, a 14 year veteran of the Police Department.  Sergeant Neice was nominated for her unique ability to blend her professionalism in the conduct of her duties with her ability to relate to and communicate with the victims of criminal acts.  In working with victims, Sergeant Neice was described as being very respectful, extremely nice, totally understanding, incredibly patient and easy to understand.  While it could be said that she was just doing her job, Sergeant Neice was felt to have gone above and beyond what is required of an officer in dealing with the victims of crime.  While the difficulties of navigating the criminal justice system are many, Sergeant Niece was applauded for her persistence in a cold case investigation, demonstration, determination and drive to see the matter through to a successful resolution.

                In addition to the honor of receiving the Employee of the Month Award, Sergeant Neice will receive an additional paid day off from the Town and will be eligible for the Employee of the Year Award at the end of this year.
