The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley is a non-profit corporation founded to foster and furnish activities, programs and facilities that increase the understanding and enjoyment of the fine arts by the residents of the New River Valley. It also strives to recognize, encourage, and support original work by area artists, craftspeople and musicians. The center is a full service regional art center featuring rotating exhibitions, youth and adult classes, in-school service programs, concerts, performances, lectures and special events.
The Center is located in two facilities in the town of Pulaski. The primary location at 21 West Main Street includes a gallery with monthly exhibitions, a gift shop featuring the work of regional artisans, class space, and offices. The second location is the Women's Club Annex at 44 West Fourth Street and inclues a large hall with a small stage where a variety of public functions, performances, and classes are held.
With the donation of the Rutherford Building, located at the corner of Fifth Street and
N. Washington Avenue, the Center is planning further expansion of its facilities and programs.
